Job Description
  • Provide advice for the user departments, and suppliers of MTN’s standard commercial terms and conditions
  • Make available information on sourcing status to user department on a regular basis
  • Recommend sourcing options and solutions to user department
  • Identify procurement saving possibilities
  • Prompt preparation of sourcing documents (RFQ, RFI and RFP)
  • Negotiation with suppliers regarding the supply of goods and services for all items related to “core” activities
  • Making negotiations on Pricing Frame Agreements, Price Books and Letters of Intent
  • Preparing, issuing, receiving and reviewing all “core” RFI, RFQ and RFP work.
  • Providing input to periodic reports
Job Conditions 
Open plan office. Candidate may work for extended hours when required. 
Successful candidate will report to the Sourcing Supervisor.

Required Skills
  • At least 4 years post-graduation work experience in a reputable establishment with minimum of 3 years dealing with commercial contracts, negotiation, suppliers or accounts.
  • Good knowledge of telecommunications environment will be an advantage
Employment is on a permanent basis

 Qualification
A bachelors degree in a numerate or related discipline. A post graduate qualification in Business/ Finance will be an added advantage. A professional certification in Purchasing and Supply Management will also be an added advantage.
